Astrolabe

Description

The corvette Astrolabe (L'Astrolabe) was launched at Toulon in 1811 as Ecurie, a horse transport ship of 380 tons. She is one of twelve ships of the same type.

A plank on frame construction, the model boat kit contains:- Building plans with general details, English instructions, lost wax brass castings walnut or lime wood planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, laser etched details, rigging cord and silk flag. All sheet plywood sections are laser cut for accuracy. Material for sails as shown are an optional accessory.
